单.纯

从今天6点到明天6点，我们学校off,所以很是开心。
昨天家里开了个bbq,算是为学姐饯行，这里每次bbq还是party都一堆好料吃，又火锅又cocktail...
然后每次团体照都si beh 好笑，每张都有笑点。

前天，我又用photoshop弄了一下，这次是和咏琪凯祥他们的合照。我还蛮想念他们那最纯最天真的笑容的。
相比很闷的C++，我很喜欢photoshop...周末没事自己上网看clips,tutorial学，然后一点一滴，最后大功告成，帮自己的desktop换背景，很有成就感一下。

然后昨天roommate帮我一起把电脑桌搞起来。在转螺丝的时候就想到qiko amao每天讲的，以后就是去做这种转螺丝的engineer. 马的，一堆板，弄了半天终于搞定。
他每天都被我们一帮人开玩笑....好在我有个没有脾气的housemate.

Contact

In the weekend, I would go for a movie, eventhough not in the theatre. I watched 'Contact' this afternoon, through gougou.com.

It's a movie which I watched couple years ago, and I am not really remember the plots as I was still a kid at that time. A Jodie Foster's film, yea, I like her.

It's about the possibilities of extra-terrestrial communications,in english, contact with the outer space.

Maybe some people might feel bored of this movie, but I just simply like it.

WTF

我一直都有follow up马来西亚的新闻。在郭议员还有哪个星洲日报记者被释放后，今天Raja Petra Kammarudin,就是那个blogger,将会被继续扣留两年。
完完全全的WTF。
尽管面对着牢狱之灾，他还是坚持写， 我非常佩服他的勇气。
真理总是掌握在少数人手上的，

It's weekend!~!

周末总是如此醉人。
又是交了一堆assignments后来到了周末。
咱们这里，星期五是sport day。我们家的3个人被Yuda拉去参加一个足球比赛。
他是我新认识的印尼朋友，人非常好，友善没心机。
我们名义上是代表印尼（-_-),不过实际上队里还有黑人，美国人，英国人。
而且这个比赛有一个很奇怪的rule，就是每队一定要有两个女生同时在场上...真是难找。

所以，昨天咱们5点踢了球后，7点多又去打羽球。到11点多。后来又跟他们去买今天bbq要用的料。
这里开party或者bbq都少不了喝酒。
不会喝酒真是不行啊。
我这种没有喝酒gene的人通常都只是假假喝一小杯酒跑去喝a&w。

说回周末，这里这几天天气很不错，我家前面的棒球场又充满着小孩打比赛。
早上起来看arsenal的比赛，慵懒一下。
等下要做拜一要交的功课聊，估计今天会玩到很迟。

中秋

我在这里周中都是在赶功课，所以到周末时总是非常开心。
咱们每个星期五都会去alumni那里打羽毛球，也因此认识了一些seniors和新朋友。当然，也因为上个礼拜撞头事情，我这个新生在这个network里面一下传开了名字。

那天打完球david和ah wong他们带我去Friday's 吃晚餐...friday去Friday's，哈。很有气氛，食物也有quality的一间西餐厅。
他们都是差不多要毕业的senior，聊着时听了他们说他们老爸在malaysia有时生意上给的 ‘咖啡’钱等那些‘地下交易’....再看看现在乱七八糟的马来西亚政局。。。唔。
ah wong讲当然是要回去的，哪些官员吃两百万，他就吃二十万咯。

我前天去拆了线，过程很快，当然，疤痕非常明显。他们讲还是lengzai不用怕，哈哈。
昨天住在附近其他几区的全部来我们家报道，帮Naomi庆生顺便吃月饼。
那些seniors真的是很geng, 煮了7，8道菜还有一锅汤（for 17人）...我，chihyong, Yokeping Geewoon steph这些kalefey当然是摇脚当cameraman拍照等吃。
后来吃饱开wine...酒过三杯，当你看到一桌子女生，有人脸红红眼睛没有神乱笑时，她（们）是醉了。

Weekend lo~~~~

I survive after those bloody hwk attacks, Finally it turns to the Weekend...Yeahoo~~~
After come to U.S, basically, I sleep before 1.a.m which i never used to in Malaysia. Coldness drives people to sleep i guess. However, when there's homework to be completed,i then got to burn the mid-night oil sometime.

I believe the biggest difference between UB and INTI in the academic side is here everyday got the homework to do, whereas in INTI i used to 'goyang kaki' in the dorm or out to limteh at night after the class. Furthermore, it takes me some time to understand the question well and then refer back to the textbook. In english, i mean those hwks are not easy as what i did before.
Maybe we guys just too rely on the teachers,either in the high school time or INTI......and maybe it takes time for me to get the adjustment for the new style.

There's a tv which have 100+ channels in my house. It's one of the things that we inherited from the seniors. In the afternoon when back from class, i love to watch the tv-programs and read the TIMES which bought by Naomi.
That's definitely great for me since i don't like the U.S newspaper while TIMES got so much of contents and news in the worldwide.
Some of the u.s advertisement are really funny and creative,so are the tv programs. That day a 9-11 documentary program called 'secrets of 9-11' really stunned me a lot.

Now only i know that after the first plane crashed into the World trade center, Bush was informed right after this but he still manage to continue his program with 40 kindergarden kids. Yea, for 30 minutes doing nothing and sat there. Then after 2nd plane went to the WTC, he continued to sat down for 7 minutes then only host a conference. His response after that was kind of an act of calm.

其实还活着真的挺不错。
我前天缝了4针，应该是我人生的 第一次。Walao,竟然还是在美国。
非常非常感谢David......当我和他把羽毛球网收进储藏室时，我挂了几次都挂不好，然后跳了一下，不小心就踩到另一根tiang的底部，因为是斜方的关系，那根银色的tiang马上倒下来，硬生生地砸在我的右边额上.

我当时就觉得很痛，然后右手摸摸右脸，拿下来一看，整个手掌都是血。其实我是吓倒了的。终于明白’血流如注‘这句成语是什么意思了。
对面的David看到后有点声音颤抖地说：“你流了很多血，来，我们快点去厕所。”
结果我走了两步，血又接着滴了下来，当时就脑袋一片空白。在想，我该不会就这样被做掉了吧？
后来David回去球场找救兵，我就一个人在厕所用了很多的tissues抹血。那个时候很短也很长我忘了自己当时在想什么。 然后热毛巾，冰块，还有运动饮料全部来了。还有大家都围在我身旁，学校的first aid人员就在帮我做些基本包扎。

后来David和Kahxiong就载我去医院。
做了些基本checking,血压什么的都正常，然后等了不久，医生还有护士们帮我洗伤口，然后打麻醉， 缝针。
当时我一直要努力地回想一些事情，确定自己没有怎样。后来等待缝针的时候，听David讲他的故事，他出生有脑膜炎，13岁来美时，在NewYork city被车撞，整个人被撞进挡风镜里，然后昏迷又做手术，然后又割盲肠...有够dramatic.

缝了4针，流了很多血，不能洗头，天天要搽antibiotic的药膏在伤口，下周五回去拆线，明天要去IO哪问问UB insurance 是不是 cover 100% 。
希望没有淤血还是什么的。 不过伤口很长好像也不错深，疤痕在所难免。
David问护士会不会有疤时，我还开玩笑说：“boy should have some scars right? "
昨天去面粉糕night 大家都问我还好没有，我笑笑，还死不了络。

Cultural Impacts

The school has been reopened and i have had my first 2 days classes in UB.
I am the earliest one woken up in the morning among all of my housemates, and that is going to be another 3 months~sigh, M,W,F-8a.m. class and T&R-9.20a.m class.
These few days i tried to go to the campus 30 minutes before my class get started but at last i was only manage to get my ass inside the classroom a minute before the professors started to give lectures.

I always lost in the campus to search for the hall. When you see the people who stand there and keep looking at the campus map, you could easily know that he is the newman to the UB. And i was one of them in these 2 days.

There are definitely some of the cultural impacts to me. I actually expect that i will lost in the jungle of the professor's lectures all the way. But fortunately,i think it's on the the right path for me.
Besides, if you think that American parents will not care about their children and let them to settle down everything in the college life,then you are wrong.
In the orientation week, i saw the parents everywhere in the campus and most of them were carrying their kids stuff like the fan,tv system,pail and etc.

Not only that, the American are really friendly and polite. Just thru the daily routine and some of the activities then you may know it. This is another out of expecting thing for me.
And everything goes online here, textbook,tuition fee,weather,furniture,dryer...etc.

Another thing is,most of the people here will hold a coffee cup in the morning. This is the culture here and you will never know how great it is to drink a hot coffee in such a cold day. I am not a Starbuck person in Malaysia but I think i am going to be in the coming future. These few days i am really enjoy in my coffee. Oh no...no caffeine addicted please...XD
